Manager Microphones Development (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
- You will take on the disciplinary and technical leadership of the Acoustics & Mechanics team, as well as the disciplinary leadership of the Electronics team in Berlin, working closely with the Technical Head of Electronics Development.
- You will coordinate the maintenance and lifecycle support of our long‑lasting microphone portfolio.
- You will design and implement acoustic and mechanical solutions that meet Product Management requirements while ensuring technological excellence.
- Throughout development, you consistently ensure high quality, scalability, and manufacturability — with a dedicated focus on long product life cycles.
- You will be responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of both the maintenance of existing products and new product development.
- You will coordinate development activities within the Acoustics & Mechanics team according to project management priorities.
- You will strengthen cross‑functional collaboration and maintain close alignment with internal departments such as Manufacturing, Product Qualification, Supply Chain, and additional interfaces within the Sennheiser parent company.
- You will prepare well‑founded decision bases for technical and economic questions, for example through feasibility studies.
- You will modernize and systematize workflows while taking corporate structures and processes into account.
- In addition, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
Your Qualifications
- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Media Technology with an audio focus, Physics, or a comparable field — or you bring equivalent qualifications.
- You offer strong expertise and many years of experience in acoustics and mechanics; knowledge in electronics is an advantage.
- You demonstrate strong teamwork skills and lead employees with clarity and empathy.
- You have excellent communication skills and maintain a clear overview even in complex situations, thanks to your strong organizational abilities.
- You have several years of experience in analyzing and developing manufacturing‑ready electroacoustic systems.
- You possess hands‑on knowledge of modern simulation techniques and a solid understanding of materials and joining technologies.
- You prepare development documentation in a structured and reliable manner.
- Ideally, you already have experience working within complex corporate and process environments.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design or Design Thinking is a plus.
- You are committed to continuous learning — for example through conferences, professional networks, or academic programs.
- You have very good English and German language skills suitable for technical communication in international teams.
