Development Application Engineer (m/f/d)

 

The Development Application Engineer (DAE) supports OEM partners in integrating and deploying Spectera WMAS technology within their products and solutions.

 

Acting as the technical interface between Sennheiser and OEM partners, the DAE provides technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and application expertise throughout the onboarding and integration process. The role also captures partner feedback and integration insights to support continuous product improvement and ecosystem growth.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • You serve as the primary technical contact for OEM partners during onboarding and integration projects and support the integration of WMAS modules, APIs, SDKs, and software components into partner products and solutions.
  • You provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, root cause analysis, and implementation best practices, while supporting integration testing and system validation activities.
  • You create and maintain integration documentation, application notes, and reference examples, and conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and integration reviews.
  • You support use case refinement and validation from a technical perspective, as well as the validation of new features, applications, and use cases.
  • You assist with proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, and pilot integrations.
  • You collect and communicate partner feedback, technical requirements, and integration challenges to internal teams, contribute to the improvement of APIs, SDKs, and documentation based on integration experience, and escalate and track technical issues with the appropriate internal development teams.

 

Your Qualifications

 

  • You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Media Technology, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Alternatively, you have completed relevant vocational training, supplemented by further professional qualifications and several years of relevant industry experience.
  • You have a good understanding of wireless audio systems and related technologies, as well as knowledge of APIs, SDKs, and OEM integration processes.
  • You understand key system performance factors such as latency, synchronization, reliability, and quality of service, and are ideally familiar with AV, broadcast, installed sound, or IT-based environments.
  • You have a strong interest in complex technical systems and solutions and are able to familiarize yourself with them quickly.
  • You bring experience in system integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and technical analysis, combined with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • You are able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You have experience creating technical documentation, integration guides, and training materials.
  • You possess strong communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working in an international environment.
  • You are customer-focused, proactive, and self-driven in your way of working.
  • You are willing to travel internationally as required.
