Global Category Manager Indirect Procurement (m/w/d)
These tasks await you in our team:
- Your task is to procure services, capital goods and non-production materials for our plants and subsidiaries worldwide.
- You will work closely with the departments involved and purchase, for example agency, consulting and IT services, engineering, construction and facility services as well as machines and equipment.
- You will manage procurement processes: evaluation of tenders, drafting of the corresponding contracts, preparation and implementation of negotiations, award decision and commissioning, also in English.
- You will maintain existing procurement sources and take responsibility for identifying, selecting and qualifying new suppliers at both national and international level.
- You observe trends and risks in the procurement markets.
- You will be responsible for the maintenance and evaluation of relevant data in IT systems.
- You will carry out national and international tenders.
You have the following qualifications:
- You have a university degree with a focus on business (business administration, industrial engineering or similar) or a comparable education.
- You have several years of professional experience and knowledge in indirect purchasing at a manufacturing company and a strong technical understanding.
- You have a high degree of negotiation skills, cost and quality awareness.
- You are experienced in negotiating all types of contracts relevant to purchasing, in particular purchase, work, service and license agreements.
- You work independently, in a structured and conscientious manner.
- You enjoy teamwork and a varied range of tasks with complex topics.
- You communicate fluently and confidently in German and English.
- You are confident in using MS Office 365, analysis tools and ERP systems.
