Purpose of the job:

Manages ODM/JDM projects with Chinese suppliers

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages multiple projects and ensures success in terms of time, costs and quality
• Deep understanding and application of project management methods and flexible implementation of latest trends and technologies in project management
• Evaluates and selects external development partners in the project team, particularly with regard to their development know-how
• Manages and develops external development partners, both in terms of work results and compliance with development standards 
• Takes technical leadership of development team and closely cooperates with disciplinary supervisor
• Optimizes resources, develops risk management plans and handles crises efficiently
• Develops communication strategies and conducts successful negotiations with internal and external stakeholders and partners
• Moderates project meetings, workshops, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings
• Actively designs and further develops methods and tools in the area of project management

Skill & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge in applying various project management frameworks and effective use of project management tools
• Many years of experience in managing projects and solving emerging problems  
• Experience in working with western companies 
• Independent problem analysis and development of innovative solution strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across disciplines in international teams
• Experience in a leadership role desirable
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Native speaker of Chinese

Education/Experience:

• A university degree of at least 4 years in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related field
• Or at least 3 years of completed, subject-related vocational training plus supplementary further training and relevant experience
• Alternatively: knowledge may have also been acquired through practical training or dual training

Accountability

• Ensuring that a project is delivered successfully within the agreed timeframe, budget and quality requirements.
