Sales Manager
This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term customer partnerships, and delivering technical product solutions that meet customer needs. You will be responsible for proactively selling Sennheiser and Neumann products to a combination of customers such as Resellers, Dealers, Integrators, Distributors, National accounts, and End Users. You will maintain, strengthen and develop relationships with existing customers, expand customer networks, solve customer challenges proactively, as well as manage price and contract negotiations. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding individual territory sales objectives and sub-regional sales objectives as well as assigned KPIs. You are responsible for increasing market share by performing the following responsibilities.
Acquisition and Prospecting:
- Tap into sales potential through presence at relevant Customer events (trade-fairs, sales or customer events)
- Develop Customer Account acquisition/expansion strategy
- Approach and acquire new customers
Active Selling:
- Act as focal point of contact to Customers
- Proactively sell products and solutions to Customers
- Conduct detailed meeting preparations, including usage of tools (e.g. need and solution assessment)
- Present Sennheiser USPs and benefits to Customers
- Plan sales in line with (corporate) strategy
- Conduct all negotiation activities with Customers (e.g. yearly negotiations and temporary discounts)
Strategic Account Development:
- Cultivate and develop existing Customers in the long term
- Analyze needs and outline business potential for Customers (listing, stock management, promo activities)
- Create development plans including individual objectives (qualitative, financial) and detailed strategies
- Develop strong relationships between Customers stakeholders and Sennheiser counterparts
- Analyze market/competitors
- Monitor and analyze KPIs and draw meaningful conclusions
Order Management:
- Track and monitor order realization process (e.g. track order in system) supported by Technical Application Engineering/Internal Sales Support
Customer Service:
- Help Customers with technical advice
- Bring in Technical Application Engineer or other support functions as needed
Administration:
- Document visitation activities, leads, opportunities, and projects in IT System (CRM)
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in any discipline; candidates with a strong track record in technical sales may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of B2B or field sales experience, preferably in Professional Audio, AV, or related technical solutions
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on knowledge in the audio or AV industry; familiarity with IT infrastructure and networking is an advantage
- Proficient in English (written and spoken); ability to communicate in Mandarin or other regional languages is a plus
- Must possess a valid Singapore Class 3/3A driving licence and own vehicle, or be willing to travel island-wide to meet clients
- Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3/3A driving licence is an advantage, as the role requires regular travel island-wide to meet clients
