Purpose of the job:

Ensures that the system design efficiently meets the requirements

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the collection, definition, and management of system-level requirements, supporting product managers and external development partners in the process
  • Analyzes system requirements to identify gaps, contradictions, and tasks, aiming to create a cohesive and comprehensive set of requirements
  • Evaluates and selects external development partners, particularly with regard to their development know-how
  • Technical management and development of external development partners, incl. review and approval of work results (e.g. (sub-)system architectures, components, interfaces)
  • Initiates and validates external development partners to design and specify the system, including corresponding artifacts such as context diagrams, architecture views, system components and interfaces
  • Facilitates the decomposition of requirements and maps them to architectural elements to ensure clarity and alignment across the project
  • Ensures the seamless integration, verification, and validation of the system, maintaining high standards of quality and functionality
  • Provides support to project management by identifying and managing technical risks and opportunities, estimating technical complexity and effort, and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Facilitates technical meetings and decision-making processes, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among internal and external partners
  • Active design and further development of methods and tools in the area of systems engineering

Skill & Competencies:

 

  • Excellent and proven knowledge of systems and requirements engineering processes, methods and tools (e.g.  MBSE, SysML/UML and Enterprise Architect)
  • Experience in the management of the system requirements, system analysis, system design, support of system integration and validation
  • Experience in working with western companies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across disciplines in international teams
  • Ability to explain and translate technical issues, dependencies and risks to (external) partners and stakeholders
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Native speaker of Chinese

Education/Experience:

 

  • A university degree of at least 4 years in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related field
  • Or at least 3 years of completed, subject-related vocational training plus supplementary further training and relevant experience
  • Alternatively: knowledge may also have been acquired through practical training or dual training

Accountability

  • Validation of the overall suppliers’ system architecture within ODM/JDM projects
