Technical Application Engineer AMER
This role manages highly technical customers, delivers advanced product support, and conducts complex
demonstrations across Sennheiser and Neumann’s Professional Audio portfolio. It designs and delivers technical
training programs—including certification content—for employees, partners, and key influencers. The role builds
strong relationships with influential industry contacts, collaborates with Sales Managers and Business
Development Managers to understand complex applications, and provides technical solutions that shape current
and future business. It also gathers market feedback and supports special events both remotely and onsite to
ensure seamless technical execution.
Success requires the ability to engage influencers and consultants strategically, identify growth opportunities, and
clearly articulate product advantages, applications, and technical composition. A deep understanding of IT
networks, market drivers, competitive dynamics, and industry trends is essential, along with the ability to assess
large‑scale demonstrations and communicate complex concepts clearly. Strong analytical skills, disciplined time
management, active listening, and consistent CRM documentation are important. The role requires calm under
pressure, empathy, social competence, and the ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
Competencies/Qualifications
4-year University college degree *
5+year's experience in advanced IT and networking work experience
5+ year's experience conducting high level technical product and solution demonstrations
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
Fluent in English both written and spoken
