Are you passionate about truly understanding users and customers? Do you want to build the foundation for better products, services, and business decisions through rigorous research? Then you've come to the right place.

As a UX Researcher (m/f/d), you will be part of our Strategic User & Customer Experience Team. You will be responsible for the methodologically sound generation of user and customer insights, ensuring that product and design decisions are based on reliable evidence rather than assumptions. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, and other stakeholders while fostering an evidence-based approach across the organization.

What you can expect in this role

  • You plan, design, and conduct qualitative and quantitative UX research activities throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • You apply methods such as interviews, usability testing, field studies, surveys, and experiments, selecting appropriate research approaches, samples, and success metrics.
  • You identify user and customer needs and validate concepts, prototypes, and existing products with regard to usability, adoption, and value.
  • You derive evidence-based recommendations from research findings and provide a solid foundation for decision-making across Product, Design, and Business teams.
  • You translate insights into concrete actions and support their integration into roadmaps, epics, hypotheses, and acceptance criteria.
  • You create and maintain research artifacts such as personas, customer journeys, Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), and interaction maps to establish a shared understanding of the user perspective.
  • You organize, document, and maintain research findings in a centralized repository, ensuring their discoverability, traceability, and reusability.
  • You collaborate closely with Research Operations, Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, Legal, and Data Privacy teams and support the execution of compliant research processes, including participant recruitment.
  • You promote a user-centered and evidence-based culture throughout the company through knowledge sharing, guidelines, templates, and targeted training sessions.

What you bring to the table

  • A completed degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, User Experience, Service Design, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience independently planning, conducting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative UX research projects.
  • Strong expertise in a broad range of research methods and the ability to answer complex questions by combining different data sources and methodologies.
  • Experience working in agile product and development environments, with a solid understanding of modern user-centered product development practices.
  • The ability to translate research findings into clear, actionable, and decision-relevant insights.
  • Experience creating and applying research artifacts such as personas, customer journeys, Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), or comparable frameworks.
  • Ideally, experience establishing or further developing research structures such as repositories, participant panels, or knowledge management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, high empathy, and a strong user-centric mindset.
  • A self-driven, structured, and analytical working style, as well as excellent German and English language skills for conducting research activities in both languages.
