Lead Enterprise Architect (m/w/d) - Hybrid Landscapes & Data Strategy

Your Responsibilities

• You will take on strategic responsibility for the entire enterprise architecture and continuously evolve it within a dynamic and increasingly complex system landscape.
• You ensure that business applications, custom software, and data flows interact seamlessly.
• You lead, coach, and further develop domain, system, and solution architects from a professional perspective.
• You facilitate and strengthen our Architecture Community, fostering a shared architectural mindset and confident, decentralized decision-making.
• You develop guidelines, standards, and guardrails for the hybrid system landscape consisting of SAP S/4HANA and non‑SAP systems.
• You define integration and API standards and derive requirements for the decoupling of systems.
• You analyze the existing application landscape, identify weaknesses, and conduct gap analyses.
• You derive measures for the continuous modernization and optimization of our application portfolio.
• You develop a company-wide data strategy and design modern data architectures such as Data Lake or Data Mesh.
• You define global standards for business and software architectures, including modern development paradigms such as cloud-native approaches and microservices.
• You translate business strategies into a sustainable digital target architecture and advise top management on technology-related decisions.

Your Qualifications

• You hold a degree in mathematics, natural sciences, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• You have in-depth experience in designing and developing complex enterprise architectures—ideally with a strong focus on SAP.
• You are proficient in established architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and apply them pragmatically in agile organizations.
• You have a solid understanding of data modeling, data flows, and modern BI, analytics, and data platforms (e.g., Data Lake, Data Mesh).
• You can confidently navigate between SAP processes, agile software development, and business stakeholders, representing architectural principles convincingly.
• You bring a strong leadership mindset and enjoy coaching, knowledge sharing, and building a shared architectural vision.
• You have excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor at all organizational levels.
• You possess very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
