Your responsibilities:

  • You build and lead an R&D Applications team in the Connected Devices domain and create an environment where people can grow and do their best work.
  • You foster ways of working that combine innovation, quality, and strong customer focus.
  • You take ownership of the lifecycle of connected applications – from initial idea to stable operation and continuous improvement.
  • You work closely with technology, device, and solution management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • You ensure alignment and transparency across teams and promote platform reuse and system integration.
  • You keep an eye on dependencies, timelines, and deliverables, and support teams in achieving their goals reliably.
  • You collaborate with Product Management and end users to understand needs and translate them into concrete solutions.
  • You support the validation of new ideas, for example through prototypes and feasibility studies.

  • A completed degree, for example in natural sciences, engineering, computer science, business administration, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in leading teams – with a focus on development, guidance, and collaboration.
  • Experience working in complex development environments, ideally in software or platform-related contexts.
  • A solid understanding of project and program management as well as agile ways of working.
  • Technical understanding of software and system landscapes – you don’t need to build everything yourself, but you are able to engage in informed discussions and make sound decisions.

  • A strong interest in connecting teams, improving collaboration, and evolving structures.
  • Very good communication skills in both German and English.
