Manager Unified Wireless (m/f/d) | RD329
What to expect in this role
In this role, you shape how our unified wireless products are developed and brought to market – from first ideas to scalable, reliable solutions used by customers worldwide. You create an environment in which interdisciplinary teams can succeed and ensure that technology, product, and user needs come together in a meaningful way. Your work directly influences how our wireless solutions perform, integrate, and evolve over time.
Your responsibilities:
- You build and lead an R&D Devices team and actively support the growth and development of your team members.
- In doing so, you create an environment where teams can combine innovation, operational excellence, and strong customer focus.
- You take ownership of the lifecycle of unified wireless devices, from initial idea through to end-of-life.
- Working closely with Technology, Devices, Applications, and Operations teams, you shape integrated solutions.
- You ensure clear alignment across R&D and promote platform reuse as well as system integration.
- You keep deliverables, timelines, and dependencies in view and create transparency across functions.
- Together with Product Management and users, you translate requirements into concrete, actionable solutions.
- You turn ideas into viable product concepts, based on prototypes, feasibility studies, and platform guidelines.
- You support the development of DECT-based wireless products within the context of broader solutions.
- Platform strategies and reusable modules are actively embedded by you into hardware roadmaps.
- You strengthen collaboration across electronics, mechanics, embedded software, UCX, and system engineering.
- You ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements and support product quality through updates and improvements.
Your Qualifications:
- You have a completed university degree, for example in engineering, natural sciences, business, or a comparable field.
- You have experience in leading teams, with a focus on development, guidance, and collaboration.
- You have experience working in complex product development environments, ideally in hardware and wireless-related domains.
- You have a solid understanding of project and program management as well as agile ways of working.
- You bring technical understanding of hardware, systems, or software-related domains – you don’t need to cover everything in depth yourself, but you should be able to understand dependencies and support sound decision-making.
- Working with a wide range of stakeholders in a matrix organization comes naturally to you.
- You enjoy connecting teams, improving collaboration, and further developing structures.
- Your very good communication skills in German and English round off your profile.
What matters to us
You don’t need to meet every requirement 100%.
If you bring experience in leading teams and a solid understanding of product or wireless development, we would be happy to hear from you.
