Manager Wireless Foundations (m/f/d)| RD281 

What to expect in this role

In this role, you will shape the technological future of our wireless product portfolio. Your goal is to develop and enhance reusable solutions – both platforms and core components. You will create an environment in which highly specialized teams can apply their expertise effectively, ensuring that complex technology becomes robust, scalable, and product-ready solutions. You will also actively connect teams working on cross-functional platforms and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

Your responsibilities:

• You develop and lead the Wireless Foundations team and create an environment where experts can grow, contribute, and fully leverage their strengths.
• You establish a working approach that combines innovation, quality, and customer orientation.
• You play an active role in the management team, further developing the area’s strategy and ensuring its successful execution.
• You further develop our shared leadership principles and act as a role model for modern, values-driven leadership.
• You collaborate closely with the Technologies, Devices, Applications, and Operations teams to provide stable and scalable foundations for products and systems.
• You ensure clear alignment across R&D, promoting platform reuse and system integration.
• You coordinate dependencies and support teams in achieving successful joint deliveries.
• You ensure that our platforms are scalable, high-performing, and aligned with product requirements.
• You collaborate with the Future Technologies Team to evaluate new technologies and ensure their prototypical implementation.
• You guide your team toward well-founded decisions by evaluating options in terms of performance, feasibility, and long-term use.
• You ensure that quality, performance, and regulatory requirements are met and support product teams with your solid technical understanding.

Your Qualifications:

• You have a completed degree, for example in engineering, natural sciences, computer science, or a comparable field.
• You have experience in leading teams, with a focus on development, guidance, and collaboration.
• You have experience in technology-driven development environments, ideally in wireless, RF, or signal processing.
• You have a solid understanding of project and program management as well as agile ways of working.
• You bring technical understanding in one or more of the following areas: RF engineering, wireless systems, signal processing, or software-related technologies.
• Working with a wide range of stakeholders in a matrix organization comes naturally to you.
• You enjoy connecting teams, improving collaboration, and further developing structures.
• Your very good communication skills in German and English round off your profile.
