System Engineer Cloud/on-Prem IT-Infrastructure (m/f/d)

 

These tasks await you as part of our team:

 

  • You operate and automate our private cloud and data center infrastructures (e.g. Nutanix/KVM, Veeam, Windows, Linux servers, Ansible, Microsoft Defender).
  • You support the operational management of our data center networks.
  • You take responsibility for basic network management and ensure secure and stable operations.
  • You continuously further develop our private cloud data center architecture.
  • You design vendor-neutral, transparent transitions to public cloud providers and hyperscalers.
  • You actively contribute to ensuring our digital sovereignty in the data center.
  • You standardize, automate, and document infrastructure processes.
  • You evaluate new technologies and contribute your own ideas for innovative solutions.

 

These qualifications make you a good fit:

 

  • You hold a completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field, or you have completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) with relevant professional experience.
  • You have knowledge in at least one of the following areas: server/storage management, data center infrastructure, security, or networking.
  • You demonstrate a high willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • You have experience managing external service providers.
  • You communicate confidently in German and English for technical coordination within an international team.
  • You work in a team-oriented, responsible, and self-organized manner.
  • You have basic knowledge of - or are willing to familiarize yourself with -technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Linux, APIs, SDN, and OpenStack.
  • You have a strong technical understanding and enjoy thinking holistically across complex infrastructures.
